Six powertrain options are still available for the 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, they offer the same engine with Jeep eTorque mild hybrid technology. The base engine of this Jeep Wrangler model is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 260 lb.-ft of torque and 285 horsepower. And we can pair it with an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
The 3.0 liter V6 EcoDiesel model produces 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft of torque.
The 4xe model has a 400-volt battery pack and two electric motors. It also has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that provides power. According to EPA estimates, the engine produces 375 horsepower, 470 lb.-ft of torque, and 49 MPGe. As a plug-in hybrid, it also has a battery range of 21 miles.
With its 6.4-liter HEMI V8, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 maintains its position at the top of the lineup. This makes 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque. Thanks to this engine, the Wrangler can accelerate to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and easily handle off-road challenges.
